A Few Basic Guidelines in the SCCA Clinic

Dress code: Please refrain from wearing the following items in the SCCA Clinic:

  • Isolation gowns outside of the isolated patient's room.
  • Very casual clothes, e.g., undershirts, halter tops, tank tops, logo tee shirts that are not SCCA or department related, blue denim jeans, crop tops, casual shorts (Culottes acceptable), sweatshirts, sweatpants.
  • Revealing clothing, e.g., see-through material, low scoop neck tops, low slung pants, tank tops.  Underwear, or lack of it, must not be obvious.
  • Dirty shoes, thongs (flip flops).
  • Open toed shoes or "crocs" in areas exposed to chemotherapy, contrast, blood products or bodily fluids.
  • Caps, hats, bandannas.
  • Bare midriffs - keeping in mind our patients are dealing with loss of body image.
  • Fragrances.
  • Artificial Nails-not acceptable for any SCCA staff or affiliates who enter/work in the SCCA clinic building.  Acceptable in other SCCA building locations outside of the clinic.

Live or plastic plants are not allowed in the clinic because of inflection control.

No smoking is allowed on the SCCA Clinic premise.
