Fred Hutch and SCCA provide basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance through Liberty Mutual Insurance, effective on the first day of eligibility, in the following coverage amounts:

  • Basic life: twice your annual salary
  • Accidental death: twice your annual salary
  • Accidental death and dismemberment: partial benefits for loss of limbs or eyesight

Optional and Dependent Life Plans

You can buy additional term life insurance, at competitive rates, at the following coverage levels:

  • Employee: $10,000 to $1,000,000 or eight times your annual salary, whichever is less. Premiums are based on your age.
  • Spouse/Domestic Partner: $10,000 to $250,000 or the amount of your optional insurance, whichever is less. Premiums are based on your spouse or domestic partner's age.
  • Dependent Children: $2,000, $5,000, or $10,000.

You must have employee optional coverage in order to elect optional coverage for your spouse/domestic partner or dependent children.

Premiums are deducted, after tax, from your paycheck.
